Bank (ACH) payments take a few business days to clear, so CollegePlannerPro shows them as pending until the money arrives.
How it works
- Your client chooses to pay by bank account at checkout. They may link their bank instantly or enter account details and verify them with micro deposits.
- The invoice shows a pending payment.
- When the transfer clears, the invoice is marked Paid automatically.
While a payment is pending
- The Pay now button is disabled on the online invoice when the full balance is pending, and the invoice shows that a payment is in progress.
- You can't record another payment on the invoice. This prevents a client from paying twice.
- If your client wants to pay a different way instead, you can cancel the ACH payment they started from your Stripe Dashboard.
If an ACH payment fails
If the bank rejects the transfer (for example, insufficient funds or a closed account), the invoice returns to unpaid and both you and your client receive an email with the reason. Your client can then pay again.
Fees: A flat $10 platform fee applies to each ACH payment.
