Getting Started with Athena AI

Follow these steps to set up your Athena AI account:

1. Access Athena AI from CollegePlannerPro

• Log in to your CollegePlannerPro account
• Navigate to the Students tab

• At the top right, launch Athena AI by clicking on the icon  

  

2. Create Your Athena AI Account or Connect an Existing One

 A. Create your Athena AI Account

• Click "Sign up for a free Athena AI Trial" 

• Enter your Organization name and some other details

  

• Click Continue
• Review how much time you'll save, based on the answers provided. Then move on to the next step.

• Authorize the connection between Athena AI and CollegePlannerPro
  *This allows data to sync between platforms and enables embedded features.

  

• Confirm any requested permissions

Note: If your organization has a shared setup, you may receive an invite instead. However, you can create your own, separate account and be billed individually for your Athena AI membership.

• When asked to confirm login, be sure to click "Continue with CollegePlannerPro"

  

B. Connect your existing Athena AI account

• If you have created an Athena AI account outside of CollegePlannerPro, be sure to select the option to connect to an existing account. 
• Use the login method you have set up previously (i.e., Google or email and password)
  • If using Google, make sure it's the same account you used when first signing up.
  • Once you log into Athena AI from here, it will link your accounts. Going forward, connecting to Athena AI from CollegePlannerPro will not require a login.
• Authorize the connection between Athena AI and CollegePlannerPro
  *This allows data to sync between platforms and enables embedded features.

4. Start Using Athena AI

Once connected, you can begin using Athena AI to:

• Review and improve student essays
• Generate ideas for application responses
• Provide structured, AI-assisted feedback within your workflow
