As we know, colleges and universities play a vital role in the process of higher education consulting. CollegePlannerPro provides a wide range of features to keep you and your students organized including college lists, profiles, testing scores, helpful links, tasks and admission deadlines. This article is designed to introduce you to that functionality.
The College Bucket
CollegePlannerPro uses College Navigator data as a basis to provide profiles for thousands of colleges and universities throughout the US. There are approximately 6,000 two-year and four-year institutions all loaded up into CollegePlannerPro. To weed out the schools you have little interest in and build a group of colleges and universities you perhaps work with on a more regular basis, we've designed your very own College Bucket. Think of it like a container which holds all of the schools you've bookmarked and would like to refer to when you need them. By filling your Bucket with colleges and universities you accomplish two goals: you remove the schools you're not interested in and you make it much easier to filter though a smaller list to add schools to your Student's "Suggested College Lists." It's very easy to add and remove schools from your College Bucket at anytime. Check out the article What is the 'College Bucket? to begin adding schools to your College Bucket.
"Suggested College Lists" and "Custom College Lists"
There are a couple of different types of college lists you can create within CollegePlannerPro. The first is the "Suggested college lists" for your students and the second are lists you can create for your own reference. For example, maybe you want to keep a list of colleges with good engineering programs. To learn more about these two types of lists and how to create them check out the article, How do I create a college list?

The deadlines for applications are super important dates your Students need to be aware of. In CollegePlannerPro college profiles hold both tasks and deadlines that can be customized and shared with your Students to provide them with the application tasks they need to complete and the dates for which they need to complete them by.
