You can group your contacts into four different categories:
1. Dormant
2. Deferred
3. Recruiting
4. Client
Here’s what each category means (or at least what we recommend):
Dormant
These are contacts you want in the system, but you’re not actively recruiting as a client. For example, maybe someone subscribed to your newsletter, but they’ve indicated they’re not interested in your services.
Deferred
These are potential clients, but you are not actively recruiting them. For example, maybe they have an 8th grader and indicated they’d like to talk to you more when the student is a sophomore in high school.
Recruiting
These are potential clients you’re actively trying to recruit to engage in your services.
Client
These are people who are engaging in your services.
By using the categories you can quickly determine which contacts you’re working with, who’s a prospect, and who might not be interested now but might in the future.
Special note:
The reference “Contact” is used synonymously with “Family” and/or “Parent(s)”
