How do I link my phone?
You can link your smartphone with your CollegePlannerPro account so you may receive text messages for calendar events and conversation post alerts. Your smartphone only needs to have text messaging capabilities.
Connecting Your Phone to Your Account
- Navigate to the Profile section () of your account.
- Select “Linked Phone” in the left-hand side menu.
- Follow the instructions in the section labeled, “Link your cell phone to CollegePlannerPro”.
a. The instructions will include a custom “code” to text and the +1 (919) 408-7773 phone number to send it to.

4. Within a few seconds, you will receive a confirmation message that your account link was successful.
What happens after I link my phone?
After the phone is set up, you will receive Conversation message updates via text from the following number: +1 (213) 214-3307. Counselors cannot reply to these messages as standard text messages. To reply to a student, you must log into your account which you can easily do from your mobile device.
Calendar notifications (appointment reminders, scheduled meeting notifications) will come from the following number: +1 (833) 618-9555.
How do I change my phone number?
Once you have linked your phone number to your account, you will see a new section on your Linked Phone page that guides you on how you can change your phone number. There you will have a new code displayed and another set of instructions to follow. By linking a new number, you will be deleting the connection to the previous number.
Other important information to know:
- Standard text messaging rates apply when receiving messages from CollegePlannerPro. These fees are completely subject to your plan with your mobile phone provider and are not determined or imposed by CollegePlannerPro.
- For international phone numbers, phone linking is possible, given that you have international texting available through your service provider. Please keep in mind: All outbound messages are sent to a US-based number, and all inbound messages come from a US-based number. Sending and receiving international texts may incur some additional fees, so you will want to check with your service provider before deciding to use this feature..
- If you have a US-based number and are traveling abroad, you may still receive text notifications via the Conversation module. When sending Conversation messages to your students, however, be sure that you are on WiFi when accessing your CollegePlannerPro account if your mobile plan does not include unlimited international data roaming.
