Listed next to each college on the student’s list of colleges will be icons indicating both the application status and the admission decision. You may view these on the student’s profile within your CollegePlannerPro account and also on the “Application Outline” tab on the student’s CustomCollegePlan account. If you are not sure what the icons represent, simply hover your mouse over the icon. In order to have the status current, either you or the student may track the updates.
The status of the admission decisions may be tracked by both you and the student. Tracking may be done on a student-by-student basis or for a group of students by running an "Application Decision Report". (For more information see, "How do I create a report to track the status of college applications and admission decisions?")
Both you and your students may post and update the admission decision for each college. Regardless of who posts the update, the most recent update will be displayed in both your CollegePlannerPro account and the student's CustomCollegePlan account.
Application Status updated by Students on their CustomCollegePlan account
Students are able to update the admission status for their colleges within their student accounts. From the student's "Application Outline", they may indicate the status for each of the colleges on their "My List" of colleges. The status may be modified by selecting a different icon. The 3 stages of the Application Status:
- Work in Progress
- Ready to Submit
- Submitted
- once an app is in Submitted status, the student may optionally log the date the application was submitted
Tracking Major Choices
When a student indicates that their application is a Work in Progress or Ready to Submit, they will have the option to note a First Choice and Alternate Choice Major (the major they are choosing to apply as)
Students can log the admission by major outcomes later in the process.
Test Optional
Once a student notes that their application has been submitted, they may optionally indicate whether they applied Test Optional to that particular college.
Admission Decision
Once an application is in the Submitted status, students may log their admission decision from the following list of statuses:
- I've not heard back
- I've been accepted
- I've been deferred
- I've been waitlisted
- I've not been accepted
- I've been accepted spring semester
- I've withdrawn my application
Additional Tracking
Students indicating acceptance into a college will be prompted to enter additional details:
- Whether or not they were admitted as their First and Alternate choice majors
- Their plans to attend
- Received scholarships - For more information on adding scholarship details, see "How do I track the Student's Scholarship information?"
- Acceptance into the honors college
